Corcoran claims that her father was a drunken man who was rude to her mother and disrespect. Corcoran was a troubled pupil throughout her schooling. Corcoran later found out that she was dyslexic. Corcoran attended an Catholic elementary school in her neighborhood and began high school at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year, and then transferred to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
