Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 is an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Permanent Midnight (1998) and Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2006), The Cooler (2004), A History of Violence (2006), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013). Lights Out (2016). Bello was a star in the world of television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998), along with other roles that were starring, such as Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath and Jacqueline Sloane as a Special Agent on NCIS from 2017-2021. Bello was born April 18, 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy, a school nurse and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in politics. Bello learned to act in a variety of New York theater productions following graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her ex-boyfriend Dan McDermott. In November 2013 Bello wrote about her first partner Clare Munn's relationship with a same-sex partner. She released a book called Whatever...Love Is Love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books on April 28, 2015)
